Today, I come to express Hejaz’s paramount interest in this Conference: a concern that we believe is shared throughout the entire region, and a case we wish to forward. We’ve prepared a hearing, if you wish to bear with us.

The Ottoman Empire was a great unifier, but one of terrible oppression. By Allah, it was on Anatolia that the slave trade persisted entering this last century of the millennium even after the Serfs were emancipated in Russia and the last black man was freed from his chains in the American continent decades ago. Those of Greek blood can know as terribly as the Arabs the truths of the kidnapping of children and deployment as Yeniçeri; the Syrian Alawites, neglected by the empire, were forbidden from the privileges that muslims enjoyed in the region: aggressed by their neighbors in the face of prejudice, yet unable to testify in court for fair defense; the Christian Arabs, unalienable brothers of our race and most pious believers of the Last Day and Allah, suffered equally in the Lebanon: indeed the freedom of faiths was a reality, but it was freedom with terms and conditions: freedom with a grain of salt. They desired Turkification of the land and people and the most evident proof of this reality are the jubilant shouts that today echo in Medina, in Damascus, in Jerusalem.

The Arabs, after years of unhappy rule, have found an opportunity in this great war to coff the last nail that will forever lock the tomb of the Sick Man of Europe, and we have the Entente to thank for this most wonderful of achievements.

We, however, are also concerned about our future. For why, indeed, we may have sealed the djinn in its bottle, another one could spawn from the melting pot that was unleashed in the fall of the Old Order. We are concerned with Abdulaziz Ibn Saud, the Emir of Nejd and Hasa: he has grown powerful through barbarism and zeal: among him flocks the sect of Wahhab, a most simplistic and uncivilized herd of savages that does not practice Sufi, or interpretation, taking the Qur’an at the most banal of readings: that of face value; one that Mohammed himself, peace be upon him, said upon us that was not quite that of the friends of Allah. This completely exoteric vision of the Holy Book, lacking the divine exercise of reason and revision that was given unto us by the Lord our God, excuses the stoning of women, the amputation of the hands of thieves and horrific forms of blinding that I will not elaborate on, being that I consider my hearers to be polite company and we’d hate to hear them gag.

While these are the brutal men who gather around Abdulaziz, from him run the Sunnis, the Shites, the Christians, the Jews; all who fear repression from the mad leader of the Saudis, all who are considered perverters of the true faith by the Wahhabites. They rush to al-Hejaz for protection, and the heart of old Sharif Hussein shatters at the sight of these disgraced individuals, running from their native homes in the heart of Arabia since Abdulaziz started his bloody march, tainting the sands with corpses since his first assault on Riyadh, a place from where he was exiled, to the beaches of Qatar. Excuse us for stretching salt on an open wound, especially as the ashes settle in the battlefields, but our foresight anticipates that a a growth of Saudi influence could be as terrible if not worse than the Ottoman regime for the people of the Middle East. It is of our honest belief that for the continued existence of Islam as a rightful system of both Faith and Law, Wahhabism has to disappear as a militant organization.

In the same spirit in which Prince Faisal was welcome with open arms in Damascus, we, the representatives of the House of Hashem, have nothing but the utmost love and care for the Arabs and seek to promise them a modern state in return. We’d love to establish a country that was a safe space for all religions and and all people in the fashion that the ancient Caliphates were in their time. Fellow delegates, the tribes of Arabia are not as concerned with politics as people are here in European democracies: their problems are closer to their families, to their local markets and churches. The shift of crowns and governments stand for little to the apathetic and disenfranchised: words like “Syria” are meaningless to the Aramean shepherd who struggles to give water to his family, and we desire nothing more than to see our people free, educated, wealthy and well-cared for as they are in this beautiful city of Paris. We hope to count with your support to achieve this goal, and would extend our sincerest appreciation to the Western world a second time for their generosity.

We are friends of Europe, and would like to remain so as well as this initiative being backed. We're interested in detailing a plan for the region, but we feel like it is appropriate to declare our intentions of crafting a Panarab state in Arabia, Mesopotamia and the Levant before pushing for any logistics. I believe people would gladly welcome the descendants of Mohammed along with the British take on democracy for government, it seems to us like it would perfectly appease the will of both Shites and Sunnis.

We thank our listeners and expect their comments, suggestions and criticism.

The Hashemite delegation appreciates China's support. We hope to draw enough sympathy to our cause in the coming days and, Inshallah, may Prince Faisal come forth in one way or another to make his notions clear on the matter.
Hopefully this initiative can be further discussed and the Arab peoples freed.

We would like to publicly state that private discussions on this matter have proved to be very fruitful and progress toward a final settlement has been rapid.

China would like to state its desire that a peaceful settlement that is satisfactory to both sides be reached with utmost speed. We ask that, once the agreement is finalized, that it be publicized. This goes for any agreements made in the PPC. It's OK if the negotiations are private, but the results must be made public.

China must remain silent on issues that does not concern it and stop making demands or her representatives will be deported from France.
