Welcome to the Libyan Arab Republic, now under new management. The dearly departed "Brotherly Leader and Guide of the Revolution of Libya" Muammar Mohammed Abu Minyar Gaddafi has been replaced in that position following his death by President Abdessalam Jalloud, who has also succeeded to the role of Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council.

The Libyan Arab Republic, part of the Federation of Arab Republics since 1972, hopes that our new leader's vision for a peaceful Arab world and a stable Libya will be well-received abroad. We welcome all proposals for foreign investment, and for other cooperative projects, as well as for conflict resolution.

We would like to extend our congratulations on the Libyan government re-assessing it's stance on various contentious issues, for the betterment of everyone involved.

The bridge has still yet to be rebuilt, but the UK is very hopeful about this promising rethinking of priorities.

Our hearts feel the loss of a brother in our struggle for Arab unity. I hope we can work closely with the new leader of the Libyan Revolution in our common struggle for progress and peace.

We invite the new leader to Syria to develop stronger relations and to join us in the battle against imperialism and the subjugation of the Arab people by western backed puppets.

You're invited.

QUOTE (JV @ Jan 12 2017, 06:32 PM)
The Second Tricontinental Conference

Cuba announces that it is holding a second Tricontinental Conference. As last time at the Tricontinental Conference, leftist delegates from Guinea, the Congo, South Africa (i.e the ANC, not south Africa government), Angola, Vietnam, Laos, Syria, North Korea, the Palestine Liberation Organization, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Chile, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic are invited. This is an event for the third world to show solidarity.

However, this time, we are excited to announce we are expanding our invitations to Lybia, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Mozambique as well as various other liberation organizations around the world.

The Conference will be held in Early 1977 or late 1976. At this time Cuba had not released the host nation, reportedly to create excitement and anticipation for the event.

Venezuela applauds the peaceful nature of the new Libyan government and hopes they can be a bastion of stability in North Africa for years to come. We must inquire as to whether the new administration is open to having elections after a suitable amount of time.

We thank the Venezuelan representative for his support.

On the matter of elections, such things are always fraught with issues, especially in a society as complex as Libya's, with many different tribal and regional groupings. However, as we are committed to allowing the people to have its voice heard, we hope to abolish the Libyan Revolutionary Command Council within roughly two-three years, and institute full parliamentary elections, where the people may vote independently.
