Given the recent withdrawal or non-adherence of neighboring states to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Agreement, Egypt is looking to consider the Non-Proliferation agreement a failure and might withdraw as well in order to develop its own nuclear defensive measures.

We are hopeful that should a course be undertaken that political efforts do not move to hamper the course of the ERSAP plan as means to put pressure on Egypt.

We hope that both the IMF and the US supervisory team can give assurances for this.

On a related note, we are set to begin implementing the plan starting next month and we invite the US supervisory team to oversee the process and give feedback.

The IMF will not countenance directly financing the production of nuclear weapons.

Not only is it abhorrent, but it is also damningly fiscally irresponsible to further cripple your economy to pursue an expensive nuclear program.

We assure the IMF that all funds earmarked to the plan will be dedicated to the plan. We also assure that the development of a nuclear program will not be pursued in a manner that will cripple the economy and merely be a regular defense expense measure and will be included in the Republic's current or only slightly elevated defense spending.

We share the view that nuclear weapons are abhorrent but with if ongoing proliferation in the Middle East is not abated, the possession of some form of nuclear deterrent is necessary for the concept of MAD.

We are hopeful that nuclear proliferation can be discouraged in the region, but we are not very optimistic.

Good lord no, the IMF does not give out loans for the development of nuclear weapons.

When you get to the base of it, the IMF providing funds to you is freeing up or producing funds that would enable you to pursue a nuclear program.

I can't pretend to understand what lunacy has driven your desire to pursue a nuclear program, but I, and I suspect most of my fellow directors, will not be party to it.

Very well, we have brought up this discussion to obtain this body's view on the matter and we have obtained it.

We will forgo the pursuit of nuclear deterrence in favor of implementing ERSAP and continuing IMF guidance.

We just hope that all the work does not one day dissolve in a ball of fire.

To provide an economic context for you, an independent Egyptian nuclear program would cost 70 credits to get off the ground.

We thank the body for its assessment and we agree that such an investment is not feasible at this time.

If Egypt did develop Nuclear Weapons I would be forced to react, this would mean an extreme threat to my people whether you say you would use it responsibly or not. If you do go about doing this on your accord I will be forced to react.
